Teams Backup needs Chrome, Edge, Brave, or another Chromium-based browser to write files to your computer. Firefox and Safari don't support the required File System Access API yet.

Use your work Microsoft account. Everything runs in your browser ā nothing is uploaded anywhere else.
A Microsoft sign-in popup will open. Your password is entered there, not here.
All conversations are selected by default. Uncheck anything you'd rather skip.
The tool will enumerate and export each chat as it goes ā no preview, no selection. Best when you know you want everything and don't want to wait for the list to load.

The folder on your computer is self-contained. Zip it, drop it on OneDrive, keep it on a USB stick ā it works offline forever.
